What is a
Hackathon?

A hackathon is an intensive, time-boxed competition — typically 24 to 48 hours — where teams of developers, designers, and problem-solvers build a working product from scratch and pitch it to a panel of judges.

The format rewards speed, creativity, and execution under pressure. Teams scope an idea, prototype it, and present a live demo — all within the sprint window. The best submissions solve a real problem in a way that's both technically sound and clearly explained.

For us, hackathons are a proving ground — a place where we sharpen our instincts for building fast, deciding quickly, and shipping something that actually works. The projects below are the results of those sprints.

FunctionalAgro Built to empower farmers with AI-driven agricultural assistance, FunctionalAgro combines Edge AI, Generative AI, and real-time data to deliver localized farming insights, crop disease detection, and fair-trade negotiation, even in areas with limited internet connectivity. Key Features -Edge AI Diagnosis: Detects crop diseases instantly using offline-capable AI running directly in the browser with TensorFlow.js. -Multilingual AI Advisory: Provides voice-to-voice farming guidance in 7+ Indian languages, combining the Gemini API with live weather data for personalized agricultural recommendations. -AI Dalal Negotiation: Enables farmers to negotiate crop prices with AI trader personas using live Government of India Agmarknet market data for fair pricing. Technical Deep Dive -Frontend & Edge AI: Developed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) using React and Vite, with TensorFlow.js (MobileNet V2) performing on-device crop disease detection for offline accessibility. -Backend Services: Built with FastAPI to efficiently process asynchronous API requests and deliver high-performance AI-powered services. -AI & Data Management: Integrates the Gemini API for intelligent multilingual responses, SQLite for real-time disease outbreak geotagging, and Firebase for secure Google authentication and personalized user alert preferences.
